A firm built on standards that hold.
Stag Aviation exists because aviation quality and safety deserve more than a generic consulting template. Here's the thinking behind the firm, how we work, and who leads it.
Founded on a simple observation
Aviation quality and safety consulting in Africa has long been treated as an afterthought — generic safety advice adapted for an industry that leaves no room for approximation. Stag Aviation was founded to close that gap: a firm-led practice built specifically around SACAA regulatory reality, staffed by people who have sat on the operator side of an audit.
The name reflects the positioning. A stag doesn't chase — it leads by being the standard others are measured against. That's the relationship we aim to build with every airline, MRO, and aviation business we partner with: not a vendor relationship, but an extension of your governance.
Since 2024, Stag Aviation has partnered with operators across Africa to build Quality and Safety Management Systems, place named Post Holders, and prepare organisations for audits that matter.
We're deliberately not trying to be the biggest firm in the room — we're trying to be the one whose work still holds up when an inspector opens the file eighteen months later. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every engagement, regardless of size.

Institutional rigour, flexible delivery
Stag Aviation partners with airlines, MROs, and aviation businesses across Africa to build quality systems and safety cultures that are audit-ready, SACAA-compliant, and built to last. We work as a named Post Holder, a project-based partner, or an ongoing retainer — whichever structure fits how your organisation actually operates.

Brandon Foster
Founder & Principal Consultant
Brandon has spent his career on the operational side of aviation quality and safety — currently a Quality Assurance and Safety Manager at a Part 145 maintenance organisation, and previously in the same role at a Part 141 training organisation, after coming up through general management and operations earlier in his career. He holds SACAA-specific regulatory training in CATS & CARS, a Safety Management Systems certification, and a Quality and Safety Management certification, alongside fixed-wing, helicopter, and remote pilot licences. Stag Aviation was founded to bring that same operator's-eye standard to organisations that need it.
